OUR STUDENTS
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Individual Guidance
The Word of God urges believers to emulate others by stating, "and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us" (Phil. 3:17). Through the Servant of All Program, EMC pairs every undergraduate student with a mentor who exemplifies positive values and spiritual principles. While each student's expectations and needs may differ, this mentoring initiative supports goal achievement through nurturing relationships tailored to individual needs. The staff at EMC regard spiritual mentoring as part of their professional calling, offering support during office hours, over coffee or meals, and even within their homes.
Religious Ministry
The goal of the Christian Service aspect of our education is to equip students for their roles as Christians in society by engaging in service and fostering a dedication to principles of compassion, benevolence, and purity.
The Bible contains many passages that urge us to serve others. Consider Paul's compelling call for unity in Philippians 2:1-11, where he encourages believers to join together with the mind of Christ. Just as Jesus served us humbly through his crucifixion, we are called to serve one another.
Students participating in Christian Service at EMC should:
Comprehend the biblical directive for serving others.
Acknowledge that helping others is an integral part of God's plan for us.
Understand that giving is more rewarding than receiving.
Gain understanding of suitable services and their effects.
Chapels can be rephrased as "small places of worship" or simply "sanctuaries."
YOUTH MINISTIRES
Practical Training Sessions
All full-time undergraduate students are required to complete at least 8 hours per week of supervised ministry practicums, usually split into two four-hour sessions. Part-time students must fulfill a minimum of 4 hours weekly in student ministry practicums.
All undergraduate students registered for the Winter trimester must take part in the Mardi Gras Outreach.
All student ministry practicums will be directly overseen by a practicum leader, who is tasked with teaching, guiding, and assessing the student's work in ministry.
To receive credit for their weekly practicum ministry, each student must complete the reading assignments and submit a one- to two-page typed report along with a student ministry evaluation form to the practicum leader by the next week.
As part of their practicum, students must keep prayer journals.
One credit on a student's transcript equates to forty hours of practicum. To earn a B.A. degree in Biblical Studies, students must complete 19 practicum credits.
A student who does not fulfill their practicum requirements will be dismissed from the program.
Practical Training Opportunities
EMC's mission is to offer practical ministry experiences in various settings, including the marketplace, mission field, and local church (Mt 28:18-19; Mk 16:15-16; Lk 10:1-3; Jn 4:35-38). Students collaborate with an Internship Leader approved by either the Dean of Student Ministry or Cohort Advisor. This leader will mentor students as they create a Senior Year Project that reflects their divine calling or area of academic focus (worth three credits).
Procedure
1. Suggest a senior year project that reflects the student's true passion and purpose.
2. Spend approximately 4 hours each week collaborating with an Internship Leader.
3. Turn in weekly reports, and showcase the Senior Year Project publicly at the end of the trimester.
Outreach
Each year, EMC students from the main campus and locations nationwide, will gather for an exciting 6-day event. Mornings are dedicated to a conference where attendees engage with dynamic visionary leaders through worship, prayer, and inspirational preaching of God's Word. Evenings are spent participating in street evangelism outreach activities aimed at spreading their faith among those who have yet to hear it.
Summer Projects
EMC motivates students to passionately pursue their faith in Jesus Christ worldwide. By participating in a Summer Mission Practicum,, students can earn up to two credits. They will be expected to thoroughly plan and optimize their mission trip by engaging in activities such as witnessing, street evangelism, preaching or leading Bible studies, and performing humanitarian work.

After School
Graduation ceremony is held after the course is completed.
This is usually an exciting time for students as students gets to be celebrated for dedicating their lives to serve God.
